Abstract
Dental arvciety is the anxiety that arises at the time ofdental and oral Dental anxiety is influenced by three factors: personalfactors, externalfactors and dentalfactors. In general, dental anxiety begins during childhood and can continue to develop in subsequent ages. The purpose ofthis study was to count prevalence of dental anxiety of 6-12 years old children who had not had treatment, who had extraction without injection, who had extraction with injection and who had tooth fillings in Dental Polyclinic RSMHPalembang. The methodology was descriptive survey. The research was conducted at the Dental Polyclinic RSMHPalembang. The samples were pediatricpatients 6-12 years ofage who visited the Dental Polyclinic RSMHPalembangfor 1 month andpatients are willing tofollow the research. The results showed the sample were 58 children which divided into 4 groups based on the treatment that they got, 3 children had not had treatment, 17 children had their teeth extraction without injection, 18 children had their teeth extraction with injection, and 20 children had tooth fillings. Arvciety in the group ofchildren who had not had treatment was when they saw dentist, dental nurse and when they sat on the dental chair (100%). Anxiety in children who had their teeth extracted without injection was when they had extraction (76.5%); whereasfor children who had their teeth extracted with injection, their anxiety was when they saw syringe (78%); meanwhile anxiety in children who had toothfilling was when they heard the sound ofthe dental bur (65%).
