Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kelayakan mesin pencacah tipe circular saw secara analisis teknis dan finansial. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret 2014 sampai dengan Juni 2014 di Bengkel Teknik Pertanian, Jurusan Teknologi Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya. Metode penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan cara menganalisis data teknis dan finansial dimulai dengan menelaah seluruh data yang tersedia dari pengujian mesin pencacah tipe circular sow. Parameter yang diamati adalah kapasitas teoritis mesin (kg/jam), kapasitas kerja efektif (kg/jam), efisiensi mesin (%), konsumsi bahan bakar (liter/jam), biaya tetap (Rp), biaya tidak tetap (Rp), biaya total (Rp), net B/C, net present value, break event point, internal rate of return dan titik pulang pokok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas efektif rata-rata mesin pencacah 20,97 kg/jam, kapasitas teoritis 47,25 kg/jam, efisiensi rata-rata mesin pencacah 44,38 %, konsumsi rata-rata bahan bakar yang terpakai 0,983 liter/jam, biaya tetap per tahun Rp. 16.095.137.3, biaya tidak tetap per tahun Rp.47.110.015.2 , biaya total Rp. 69.525.667,75, net B/C sebesar 1,41, net present value pada suku bunga tertinggi (13%) Rp. 3.719.811,19 dan terendah (10%) Rp.2.861.393,22, break event point untuk volume produksi sebesar 27.810,2 kg sedangkan break event point untuk harga produksi Rp. 1.771, internal rate of return 0,19 dan titik pulang pokok 218,4 hari.
