Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan tebal pemberian air yang terbaik dengan mempertimbangkan total pemakaian air dan produksi sayuran selada merah dengan irigasi tetes. Penelitian dilakukan pada Januari sampai Oktober 2013 di rumah tanaman Jurusan Teknologi Pertanian, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan 5 perlakuan tebal pemberian air dan masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan ulangan sebanyak 3 kali. Parameter yang diamati adalah efisiensi pemberian air, defisit evapotranspirasi dan pertumbuhan tanaman selada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi pemberian air tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan A5 dengan besarnya 96,159 % untuk tahap vegetatif awal dan 68,978 % untuk tahap vegetatif akhir. Nilai tertinggi efisiensi pemberian air untuk tahap vegetative tengah terdapat pada perlakuan Al dengan besarnya 94,582 %. Nilai tertinggi deficit evapotranspirasi harian ditemukan pada perlakuan Al yang berkisar antara 0,047 mm - 1,03 mm, sedangkan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan A5 yaitu antara 0,003 mm - 0,16 mm. Perlakuan A5 menghasilkan tinggi tanaman, luas daun, berat segar dan berat kering yang tertinggi. Hasil perlakuan A5 menunjukkan bahwa tinggi tanaman selada 19,067 cm, luas daun 1979,7 cm2, berat selada segar 152,270 gram, dan berat selada kering 7,9 gram.
