Abstract

The purposes from this Research are (1). measuring level of rice farmer response towards rice cultivation IR 64 variety at Palak Tanah Semende village, (2). Measuring farming income level rice farmer effort field IR 64 on rice field rice cultivation development IR 64 variety project at Palak Tanah Semende village, (3). Analyzing connection between level of farmer rice response towards rice field rice cultivation development IR 64 variety project at Palak Tanah Semende Darat Tengah village Muara Enim regency. This research have been done at at Palak Tanah village district Semende Darat Tengah Muara Enim regency. Location choice have done according expressly (purposive) with deliberation that Palak Tanah village is place of rice IR 64 variety development. Data collecting from field in April until May 2008. The method from this research is case study. Example withdrawal method that was used is simple random sampling towards farmer population that follow rice field rice cultivation development IR 64 variety project as much as 41 farmers, where total farmer for example has taken as much as 20 example farmers. To answer first purpose is measuring level of farmer response on rice cultivation development IR 64 variety project with score determination, second purpose is measuring income farming level effort rice field rice that used equation Pn = Y x Hy and third purpose analyzing connection between level of farming response in rice cultivation development IR 64 project with income farmer effort rice field rice that used statistics test non parametric rank correlation spearman in real Standard (a = 0,05). Result ffom this research shows that level of rice farmer member response in rice cultivation development IR 64 project is on high criteria with average score total is 12,5. Average income farming effort rice field rice in rice cultivation development IR 64 project is Rp. 2.696.659,59,-/ha/mt. Level of Farmer response in rice cultivation development project IR 64 is not influenced manifestly in income farming effort rice field rice with rs count (-0,0216) < rs table (0,3789).
