Abstract
Indonesia is an agricultural country located in the tropics which is rich in horticultural crops. This plant has a high price and provides an opportunity to compete in the market. One of the most dominant horticultural plants is red chili. Red chili (Capsicum annum L.). This study aims to find traps with certain shapes that attract the most fruit flies when installed in the field. The research was carried out at the Phytopathology Laboratory of the Department of Plant Pests and Diseases and in the agricultural areas of Persada, Tanjung Seteko, Palemraya, and Pemulutan, Indralaya Regency from October 2020 until completion. The results showed that the trap model got a lot of fruit flies on the model of commercial equipment and the highest number of fruit flies in Tanjung Seteko village was caused by the amount of plant vegetation compared to other villages that had little plant vegetation.
