Abstract
Background: Temporary restoration materials is used when the treatment cannot be finis hed in one visi t. Such as root canal treatmen, inlay/onlay. Purpose: To know whether there are any dijferences in compressive strength and disintegration between fletcher, caviton and IRM as a control. That are stored in artificial salivafor 1 hour, 1,3,7,14 days. Method: This research a laboratoric eksperimental The data were collected using universal testing machine for compressive strength and digital scale for disintegration. Result: Compressive strength result indicated that IRM is stronger than fletcher, fletcher is stronger than caviton. Compressive strength of fletcher and IRM increased from 1 hour until 14 days stored in artificial saliva. Compressive strength of caviton increased from 1 hour until 3 days, in 7 and 14 days the strength decrease. Disintegration of caviton increased from 1 hour until 14 days. Conclusion: There are statistically significant differences (p<0.05) in compressive strength and disintegration fletcher, caviton, and IRM. In each temporary restoration material are statiscally significant differences (p<0.05) in compressive strength and disintegration after immersion in artificial saliva for 1 hour, 1,3,7,14 days.
