Abstract

To design a robot, a method is needed so that the robot can operate properly. This research uses two methods: PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) and fuzzy logic as a system on robots. PID control is a control system that is used to determine the precision control of an instrumentation system with the characteristics of feedback on the system. This fuzzy logic method is used to process the data error that occurs in the PID control. In this research, the robot uses three ultrasonic sensors, two DC motors and an arduino uno using ATmega328. Testing is carried out on the corridor and the environment that has been determined. By using PID control method and fuzzy logic as hybrid, all experiments were successfully carried out with an average time achieved that is 9070.58 ms (9.070 s) and the fastest time in the turning corridor to the left is 6400 ms (6.4 s) and longest time when the free space condition is 19400 ms (19.4 s).
