Abstract

HEALTH PROMOTION MASTER STUDY PROGRAM (S2) PUBLIC HEALTH SCIENCES FACULTY OF PUBLIC HEALTH SRIWIJAYA UNIVERSITY Scientific papers in the form of Thesis, November 2022 Triska Septi Wahyuni: Guided by Nur Alam Fajar and Yuanita Windusari Analysis of the Relationship between Knowledge and Attitudes of Posyandu Cadres on Anthropometric Measurement Skills in Stunting Prevention in Palembang City. Xii +214 pages,1figures, 33tables, 9 appendices ABSTRACT Posyandu cadres are the spearhead in achieving the success of stunting prevention efforts. The success of stunting prevention efforts is influenced by the skills of cadres in anthropometric measurements. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of Posyandu cadres on anthropometric measurement skills in preventing stunting in Palembang City. Method : The method in this study is a mixed method or sequential mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative method used with cross sectional design. Bivariate data analysis using the chi square test and multivariate confounding test using logistic regression. Whereas the qualitative method explores knowledge and attitudes with the skills of posyandu cadres in anthropometric measurements of preventing stunting in toddlers using a phenomenological approach. Research results: There is a relationship between cadre knowledge and cadre skills in anthropometric measurements (p value 0.022 <0.05). Cadres with low knowledge have a risk of being less skilled in anthropometric measurements by 1.86 times (95% CI: 1.07 -3.23) compared to cadres who have high knowledge. The cadre's attitude has a relationship with the cadre's skills in anthropometric measurements (p value 0.028 <0.05). Cadres who have a negative attitude have a greater risk of being less skilled in anthropometric measurements by 1.80 times (95% CI: 1.05 – 3.09) compared to cadres who have a positive attitude. Almost all informants consider knowledge to be related to one's skills. If someone has the desire to learn and gain knowledge, knowledge will increase as well as skills. Informants consider that attitude is related to the skills possessed by a person. Informants said that attitude is in line with one's talent so that if the attitude is good then the skills will also be sufficient. Suggestion conclusion: with the results of this study it is hoped that it is necessary to periodically monitor the evaluation of posyandu cadres, especially when carrying out anthropometric measurements and filling in KMS so as to minimize measurement error.
