Abstract

Occupational accidents are one of the hazards that are often encountered in K3 situations. Because a job, certainly has potential hazards that can cause unwanted work accidents and can be detrimental to both humans and the company. This study aims to analyze the relationship between unsafe behavior (Unsafe Action) to the incidence of work accidents among workers at the oil factory PT. Tunas Baru Lampung, Tbk South Sumatra. This research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional design. The data used are data obtained from direct interviews and filling out questionnaires. This study used the total sampling method in taking the sample. The population in this study is oil factory workers. Data analysis was performed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The results of this study show that there is a correlation between work injury and unsafe behavior (p-value = 0.000), age (p-value = 0.000), attitude (p-value = 0.001), job training (p-value = 0.004), motivation (p-value = 0.001), knowledge (p-value = 0.003), experience (p-value = 0.002). The results of the multivariate analysis show that unsafe behavior has a relationship with work accidents after being controlled with three confounding variables, namely age, knowledge, and training. It can be concluded that work accidents against oil factory workers at PT. New Tunas Lampung, Tbk Cab. SumSel is caused by factors of unsafe behavior, age, attitude, training, motivation, knowledge, and experience. The advice given in this study is that it is hoped that the company will improve the supervision of workers in the field, increase worker motivation by giving rewards and applying safety talk every time they start work, and for workers to continue to apply safe behavior at work to avoid work accidents.
