Abstract

This study examines the problems of street children who experienced an increase in the city of Palembang in the year 2016. The purpose of this study is to determine how the performance of the Department of Social City of Palembang in implementing the program of street children in 2016. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The focus of this study is organizational performance that refers to the organizational performance model according to Lenvine with dimensions of Responsiveness, Responsibility and Accountability. The data obtained from the primary data is through interviews with the parties related to this research, as well as secondary data that is obtained through data documentation and written sources related to the guidance of street children by the Office of Social City of Palembang. Based on the results of analysis and research in the field concluded that the performance of the Social Service of Palembang City is good enough in implementing the program of street children in 2016, research indicators that have not been achieved is expected to the implementation of street children development by the Department of Social Affairs of Palembang subsequently can reach every indicator of measurement organizational performance success.
