Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of income and the level of welfare of rubber farmers who are members of the Bayung Lencir Bokar Processing and Marketing Unit (UPPB) before and during the COVID -19 pandemic in Bayung Lencir sub-district, Musi Banyuasin Regency, unwittingly during the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a decrease in rubber prices which affected the economic life of rubber farmers. The economic relations between fellow rubber farmers have changed. UPPB is a bokar marketing agency that aims to balance rubber prices. The objectives of this study were: (1) To analyze the income level of rubber farmers who were members of UPPB Bayung Lencir before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in Bayung Lencir District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, (2) To analyze the level of welfare of rubber farmers who were members of UPPB Bayung Lencir before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in Bayung Lencir District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, and (3) To analyze the effect of income on the level of welfare of rubber farmer families who are the members of UPPB Bayung Lencir in Bayung Lencir District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The selection of the research location was choosen deliberately. Research activities were carried out in July 2022. The research method used in this study was a survey method. The sampling method used in this study was simple random sampling. The number of sample farmers taken was 30 sample farmers and the data collected in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. The results of this study are: (1). Farmers' income during COVID-9 was greater than before COVID-19 and during COVID-19 pandemic was able to significantly affect farmers' income., (2). In 2019 there were 18 prosperous rubber farmers with a percentage of 60.0% and farmers who are not prosperous are 12 people with a percentage of 40.0%. Whereas in 2021 the welfare of farmers will increase to 23 people with a percentage of 76.7% and farmers who are not prosperous will decrease to 7 people or with a percentage of 23.3%., (3). The income of rubber farmers were significantly influenced the welfare of rubber farmers in the Bayung Lencir sub-district
