Abstract

Biopsi eksisi merupakan salah satu perawatan bedah yang diberikan untuk kasus tumor jinak kecil pada jaringan lunak rongga mulut. Antibiotik diresepkan oleh dokter gigi sebagai terapi lanjutan pasca biopsi eksisi untuk mencegah terjadinya infeksi bakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil peresepan obat antibiotik pasca biopsi eksisi penyakit jaringan lunak rongga mulut oleh dokter gigi di kota Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional deskriptif dengan metode survei. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan melakukan penyebaran kuisioner ke 40 dokter gigi dan dokter gigi spesialis di kota Palembang yang pernah melakukan perawatan biopsi eksisi penyakit jaringan lunak rongga mulut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peresepan antibiotik amoksisilin sebesar 55%, kombinasi amoksisilin dan asam klavulanat 17,5%, dan klindamisin 12,5%. Kasus yang dijumpai pada penelitian ini adalah epulis 57,5%, mukokel 30%, dan fibroma traumatik 10%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa antibiotik yang paling sering diresepkan oleh dokter gigi di kota Palembang pasca perawatan biopsi eksisi adalah amoksisilin dan kasus yang paling banyak dijumpai adalah epulis.
