Abstract
Tooth decay can be caused by various factor, such as micoorganism, food, tooth, saliva and time, and supported by various other factors like race, age, and genes. Children's dental caries is frequently caused by the habit to consume food cariogenic which doensn't only affect tooth but also the nutrition status of child. The aim of of this analytic observational study was to know the prevalence of tooth decay, the nutrition status and the relation of dental caries and nutrition status at school age child. The sample in this study was involved 100 sample from 178 Elementry school. Dental caries status was investigated with DMF-T index and nutrition status with BM/A index. Data were analyzed using chi-square test with signiflcance level of 0,05. It conclude that have significant relationship between dental caries and nutrition status at 10-11 years old.
