Abstract
Background. Preeclampsia with complications is an obstetric disease with the highest prevalence in Indonesia, that it can cause an increase the mortility and morbidity rates of maternal dan infant. This disease is known as “the disease of theory” because there is no theory that can explain the etiopathogenesis and risk factors of this disease clearly. This study aims to determine the prevalence of preeclampsia with complications in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period 1st January 2015 – 31st December 2017 and analyze the risk factors that influence it.Methods. This study was an analytic observational study with cross sectional design. This study used medical record of parturition woman at RSUP Dr.Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. The study sample amount was 117 samples of parturition womans with PDK and 183 samples of parturition womans without PDK. The analysis used Chi-square test and binary logistic regression with the Enter method on IBM SPSS statistic.Results. The prevalence of preeclampsia with complications in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from 1st January 2015 to 31st December 2017 was 14.45%. The result of bivariate analysis shows that maternal age (p = 0,000; PR = 2,229; CI 95%: 2,556-7,212), BMI(p=0,000; PR=2,167; CI 95%: 1,252-3,080), history of hypertension in pregnancy (p = 0,000; PR = 3,597; CI 95%: 2,860-4,523), and parity (p=0,007; PR=0,618; risk = 1,618; CI 95%: 0.43–0.883) has significant association with preeclampsia with complications. Job status (p=0.065), pregnancy interval (p= 0.458), and history of maternal disorder (p= 0.573) has a non-significant association with this disease. The results of multivariate analysis shows that maternal age, job status, BMI, pregnancy interval, and history of hypertension in pregnancy are the most significant risk factors of preeclampsia with complications (probability=74,5%). Conclusions. The prevalence of preeclampsia with complication in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang was still relatively high and the most significant risk factor for this disease was history of hypertension in pregnancy.
