Abstract

Penelitian tentang, “Penyerapan Logam krom (Cr) pada Air Limbah Industri Pelapisan Seng dengan Menggunakan Biosorben Bulu ayam” telah dilakukan. Larutan logam krom diinteraksikan dengan bulu ayam dengan variasi waktu kontak, pH, konsentrasi, dan diaplikasikan pada air limbah industri pelapisan seng. Larutan kemudian diseker, disaring dan filtratnya diukur dengan menggunakan SSA. Penelitian menunjukkan kapasitas serapan optimum logam krom terjadi pada waktu kontak 30 menit dan pH larutannya 5. Aplikasi pada air limbah industri pelapisan seng menurunkan kadar logam krom dari 395,85 mg/L (ppm) menjadi 150,57 mg/L (ppm). Persentase efisiensi serapan ion logam krom (Cr) sebesar 61,96% dan kapasitas serapan bulu ayamnya sebesar 12,2643 mg/g. Kata-kata kunci: penyerapan, biosorben, dan kapasitas serapan.
