Abstract

Pengaruh pendekatan starter experiment berbasis konstruktivisme terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas XI SMAN 3 Palembang telah diteliti dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen semu. Data ini dikumpulkan melalui tes dan observasi dan dianalisis dengan uji Independent Sample T-test menggunakan SPSS for Windows relese 10.0. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh data peningkatan skor ratarata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 62,04 sedangkan peningkatan skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol sebesar 52,71. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kimia siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan pendekatan starter experiment berbasis konstruktivisme lebih baik bila dibandingkan dengan yang tidak menggunakan pendekatan starter experiment berbasis konstruktivisme pada pokok bahasan kesetimbangan kimia. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari analisis uji t yang menghasilkan thinmg = 3,717, lebih besar daripada ttabci ao.os - 1,986. Kata kunci: Pendekatan starter experiment, konstruktivisme, hasil belajar.
