Abstract

Ultisols are soils that develop under a tropical climate that experience weathering and react acidicly, with base saturation of <35%. The availability of P nutrients in Ultisols of the Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University was very high (111 ppm), but it was presumed that not all the available P could be absorbed by plants. The P uptake in the soil can be increased by using mycorrhizal biofertilizers and nano liquid organic fertilizers. This study aimed to evaluate the effect and to obtain the best dose application of mycorrhizal biofertilizer and nano liquid organic fertilizer on soil pH, root infection percentage, mycorrhizal spore count, and P uptake of oyong (Luffa acutangula L.) that planted on Ultisols of Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. The study was conducted from May to August 2022. The study used Randomized Block Design with 6 treatment levels. Each treatment was replicated 3 times, so there were 18 experimental units. The results showed that the application of mycorrhizal biofertilizer and nano liquid organic fertilizer had no significant effect on soil pH and had a significant effect on root infection by mycorrhizae, mycorrhizal spore count and plant P uptake. The treatment of mycorrhizal biofertilizers was the best treatment in increasing root infection and the number of mycorrhizal spores. The best application dose to increase root infection and the number of mycorrhizal spores of oyong plants in Ultisols was found in the treatment dose of 5 grams mycorrhizal biofertilizer/plant. Uncontrolled Keywords: Ultisol merupakan tanah yang berkembang di bawah iklim tropika yang mengalami pelapukan dan bereaksi masam, memiliki kejenuhan basa < 35%. Ketersediaan unsur hara P pada Ultisol kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Unsri sangat tinggi (111 ppm) namun diduga tidak semua P tersedia tersebut dapat diserap oleh tanaman. Untuk meningkatkan serapan hara P pada tanah dapat dilakukan dengan penggunaan pupuk hayati mikoriza dan pupuk organik cair nano. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh dan mendapatkan aplikasi dosis pupuk hayati mikoriza dan pupuk organik cair nano terbaik terhadap pH tanah, persentase infeksi akar, jumlah spora mikoriza dan serapan P tanaman oyong (Luffa acutangula L.) yang ditanam pada Ultisol di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Mei hingga Agustus 2022. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah RAK (Rancangan Acak Kelompok) dengan 6 taraf perlakuan. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga terdapat 18 unit percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk hayati mikoriza dan pupuk organik cair nano berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap pH tanah dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap infeksi akar oleh mikoriza, jumlah spora mikoriza dan serapan P tanaman. Perlakuan pupuk hayati mikoriza merupakan perlakuan terbaik dalam meningkatkan infeksi akar dan jumlah spora mikoriza. Dosis aplikasi terbaik untuk meningkatkan infeksi akar dan jumlah spora mikoriza tanaman oyong di Ultisol, ditemukan pada perlakuan dosis 5 gram pupuk hayati mikoriza/tanaman.
