Abstract

Media sosial membuat dampak positif dan dampak negatif. Contoh dari penggunaan media sosial yang negatif adalah digunakannya media sosial sebagai alat untuk mengejek atau menjelekkan orang lain atau pencemaran nama baik. Tindak pidana penghinaan terhadap presiden atau wakil presiden diatur dalam Bab II Buku II Kitab Undang-undang Hukum Pidana tentang Kejahatan-kejahatan terhadap martabat Presiden dan Wakil Presiden dan UU Nomor 19 tahun 2016 tentang Perubahan UU Nomor 11 Tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (ITE). Agar penegakan hukum di Indonesia lebih bagus lagi, terkhusus tindak pidana pencemaran nama baik terhadap Presiden di Media Sosial, agar masyarakat Republik Indonesia lebih menghargai kepala negara sendiri.
