Abstract

The tendency for aggresive behavior does not only occour in physical violence, but verbal violence also often occurs in children today, such as mocking, speaking harshly and insulting. This study aims to measure the tendency of verbal aggressive behavior in students who use the social media tiktok at SD Negeri 109 Palembang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. With a population of 546 students and a sample of 171 which was determined by purposive sampling. This data collection technique uses a psychological scale of verbal aggressive behavior tendencies with likert sum. Data analysis techniques are perfomed using the percentage formula (%) the results of this study showed that the tendency for verbal aggressive behavior among students using social media Tiktok was mostly in the medium category with a percentage of 35% (59 students), followed by the high category with a percentage of 32% (54 students). The tendency of verbal aggressive behavior based on this aspect occured in students who carried out direct active verbal aggressive behavior with a percentage of 87.13% (149 students). This research is recommended for teachers to be a source of information in making appropriate service programs. For students to add insight and knwolege about verbal aggressive behavior.
