Abstract

With the development of existing technology, especially in the world of construction, lightweight concrete is one of the promising alternatives in the development of concrete materials, because the demand for non-renewable natural resources such as aggregates is increasing worldwide, new production of artificial aggregates must be developed, it is necessary further experimental research was carried out in the development of artificial fly ash aggregates using research variables in the form of constituent materials to produce optimal mixture composition, water ratio, manufacturing and hardening techniques so as to produce artificial aggregates with the desired mechanical and physical properties. In this study, it was found that specimens that had optimal physical and mechanical properties compared to other specimens were specimens with the code F75-B15-Ca10-AC with a density of 977 kg/m³, a water absorption value of 37%, a compressive strength value of 8 MPa, and an impact value 28%.
