Abstract
Light is the biggest influence for life in carrying out activities. All living things and their activities need light. Good or bad the influence of light depends on the needs of each. Measuring tools are needed by humans to facilitate their activities in finding the value or quantity of an object with certainty, because without a measuring device it is difficult to determine a standard quantity. With current technological advances, it is possible to make an electronic circuit by connecting multiple chips or IC (integrated circuits). Therefore we need a light intensity meter as a reference for the value of light intensity in a place or room. In this study, a light intensity tool was made using the BH1750 sensor as a light receiver, then processed by Arduino Uno and displayed on the LCD. This tool was tested with variations in lamp power and variations in distance when measuring. The results of this study show that this tool has a good accuracy rate of 99% and the best precision is 99%. Keywords: light intensity, microcontroller, light sensor, luxmeter.
