Abstract
Chili production in Indonesia is still not optimal. One effort to increase production is by improving cultivation techniques such as the use of liquid organic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the best type and concentration of POC to support optimal growth and maximum production of chili (Capsicum annuum L. var PANEX ). This research was carried out from July to October 2022 in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) which consisted of 7 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments consisted of control or without giving POC (P0), 4 ml/l NASA POC (P1), 6 ml/l NASA POC (P2), 8 ml/l NASA POC (P3), 4 ml/l BMW POC (P4), 6 ml/l BMW POC (P5), 8 ml/l BMW POC (P6). The parameters observed in the study were plant height (cm), stem diameter (mm), number of branches, flowering age (DAP), number of fruit, fruit weight per fruit (g), fruit weight per plant (g), fresh weight of stover (g), fruit fresh weight (g), stover dry weight (g), and fruit dry weight (g). The results showed NASA POC with a concentration of 6 ml/l is the best type and concentration of POC to support optimal growth and maximum yield in large chili plants, especially from the variables of plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, weight fresh stover, fruit fresh weight, and fruit dry weight.
