Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital supplement book that contains social care and tolerance characters using a valid, practical, and effective html5 flip application. The stage of this development research is to use the Plomp model which consists of the first three stages, namely the preliminary investiagtion stage, prototype stage and assessment phase after which it is continued with tessmer evaluation activities consisting of four stages such as expert review, one to one, small group, and field test. The subjects of this research activity were class VII students of SMPN 33 Palembang. The data collection technique in this study consisted of observation and interview activities, walkhroughs, questionnaires and tests. Based on the level of validity of digital supplement books resulting from the validation of three material experts, learning design and media obtained results of 91% with very valid categories. For the level of practicality of digital supplement books produced from small group and field test activities, each received a different percentage score, namely the small group stage of 74% with practical categories, while field test activities received. The percentage of 84% with the category is very practical. Regarding the effectiveness of the development of digital supplement books, it is evidenced by the N-gain results obtained, which is 0.47 with a moderate category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the digital supplement book developed in this study is valid, practical and effective. Keywords : Digital Books, Civic Education, Html5 Flip
