Abstract

COVID-19 COVID-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, one of the prevention efforts apart from adhering to health protocols is to do CTPS. CTPS is an indicator in PHBS. Lack of hand washing behavior in school-age children is caused by low knowledge, attitudes, and health actions usually related to personal and environmental hygiene. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence Handwashing with Soap (CTPS) behavior among Prabumulih 6 Public High School students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a cross-sectional study design with a simple random sampling technique of 64 students. The analysis technique was performed univariately, bivariately, and multivariately using SPSS in the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression prediction models. The variables in this study that are not significantly related to CTPS behavior are attitudes, peer support, facilities and infrastructure. The variable in this study that is significantly related to CTPS behavior is knowledge. The results of the multivariate analysis found that knowledge was the most dominant variable influencing CTPS behavior in students after being controlled by the variables of peer support and facilities and infrastructure (p-value <0.05) and with a PR of 17,946 (1,717-187,574). The conclusion from this study related to CTPS behavior is knowledge. When knowledge increases, it is hoped that the component of health knowledge about hand washing will be carried out continuously.
