Abstract

The aims of this study were (1) to find out what are the risks faced by rainfed rice farmers due to climate change in Lubuk Seberuk Village, Lempuing Jaya District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (2) Analyze the level of risk production and income of rainfed rice farmers in conducting rice farming in Lubuk Seberuk Village, Lempuing Jaya District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (3) Knowing how the behavior of farmers in dealing with the risks of rice farming in rain-fed land in Lubuk Seberuk Village, Lempuing Jaya District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The research method used is a survey method. The sampling method used in this study is Simple Random Sampling. The data used are primary and secondary data. The results of this study are (1) The risks of climate change faced by rainfed rice farmers in Lubuk Seberuk Village are pest/OPT attacks and floods. However, the risks that can be said to be influential and occur every year are pests/OPT attacks. Floods experienced by farmers do not significantly affect their production. (2) The technical risk level of farming production on rainfed land in Lubuk Seberuk Village is included in the low category with a CV value < 0,50, namely 0,01 and has a lower limit value (L) > 0,50, namely 5.333,18. In rice farming activities. The Risk Management Value (NMR) is 1.042,31 kg/ha/year. (3) The behavior of farmers in facing the technical risks of rice farming due to climate change is divided into 3 phases, namely the behavior of farmers in the pre-planting phase, the behavior of farmers in the planting phase, and the behavior of farmers in the post-planting phase. The farmers who have the highest average income are farmers who apply the three behaviors, which are obtained in the amount of Rp27.773.552,94/ha/year. It can be interpreted that farmers who apply all categories of behavior are more profitable and efficient than farmers who only do one of these behaviors.
