Abstract
Application of chicken manure can increase the production and yield of shallot plants.This study aims to determine the efficiency of chicken manure on application growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) Violetta 2 variety grown in a floating system. This research was conducted at the Sriwijaya University Reservoir, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The research was conducted from May to August 2022. The method used in this study was Randomized Block Design (RBD) which consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replications then each treatment had 2 plants, so there were 24 plant units. A0 = control, A1 = 8:1 (soil : chicken manure)/polybag, A2 = 7:2 (soil : chicken manure)/polybag, A3 = 6:3 (soil :chicken manure)/polybag. The data obtained will be analyzed using the Anova test (analysis of variance) with F table. The research data were analyzed using ANOVA and further tested with a BNT test of 5%. Parameters observed included leaf lenght (cm), number of leaves per plant, numver of tillers per plant, number of bulb per plant, bulb diameter per plant, bulb fresh weigh per plant, bulb wind dry weight per plant, leaf greenness, fresh weight of stove (g), and dry weight of stove (g). The result showed that treatment A3 with a ratio of soil and fertilizer volume of 6:3 was the best result compared to the other treatments. Keyword: Shallot, Chicken Manure, Floating System
