Abstract
Pakcoy plant (Brassica rapa L.) is a type of vegetable that is easy to cultivate. In addition to being in great demand by the public, pakcoy plants do not depend on the season so they can be harvested all year round. To increase the yield of pakcoy crop production is to use fertilizers. The type of fertilizer that has the main nutrients needed by plants is NPK compound fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of NPK compound fertilizer application on the growth and yield of pakcoy plants and the application of chicken manure as a mixture of floating cultivated planting media. This research was carried out at the Embung of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra from June to September 2022. This study used a Randomized Group Design (RGD) with 4 treatments and there were 3 repetitions with a total of 12 treatments. Each treatment consists of 3 plants so that the total number of plants is 36 plants. with PO dose = Control, P1= 1.5 g NPK/Polybag, P2= 3 g NPK/Polybag and P3= 6 g NPK/Polybag. Parameters observed include plant height, number of leaves, leaf greenness level, leaf fresh weight, stem fresh weight, root fresh weight, leaf dry weight, root dry weight, stem dry weight, leaf length, and leaf area. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the best treatment was the application of npk compound fertilizer with a dose of P2 = 3 grams / polybag which gave very noticeable results on the parameters of leaf area, fresh weight of the stem, dry weight of the stem and length of the roots.
