Soil as a growing medium was instrumental to the development and survival of soil -borne pathogens . Factors that influence the development of soil -borne pathogens , these include the soil acidity level ( pH ) , soil temperature , soil moisture , soil texture and soil organic matter . Knowledge how this soils factors influence the development and the survival of a soil -borne pathogens can be used as a basis for determining the appropriate controls and efficient.
