Abstract

This study aims to analyze In this study, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative research method by describing the public diplomacy strategy carried out by South Korea in Korean-pop music education. As a result of this research, the success of the Korean Wave was able to provide a good image in its country which became a multinational country. In this study, the researcher used Mark Leonard's theory with three 3 dimensions. In the News Management dimension, it uses a strategy by spreading positive issues through SM Entertainment public figures who convey the issue and value that the South Korean state is not a cruel country when a Vietnam war occurs to the Vietnamese people. The creation of image improvements to be conveyed to Vietnam can result in a collaboration carried out by South Korea as Strategic Communication to brand the Vietnamese community through the SMile For U program by promoting K-pop through media that will be documented through photos and videos that will be used for exhibitions. Meanwhile, in the Relations Building Dimension, there is an exchange that comes from representatives between countries by sending people who have been selected as UNICEF ambassadors to certain countries to do "face to face" that can build foreign public relations to represent South Korea as a country that is not arrogant.
