Abstract

This research aimed to develop media digital pictured story book basis on canva application on the theme of playing in my surroundings with subtheme “Playing in My Surroundings on the 2nd Grade of Elemetary School Number 001 Palembang and aimed to know the validity and response of students towards the media interests. The type of research used was Research and Development (R & D) by using ADDIE model with phases: Analysis, Design, Development and Implementation. The Researcher performed validity to media expert, material expert and carried out test towards 25 students from 2nd Grade. The result of validity evaluation from media expert obtained 93 %, material expert 93%, the recapitulation from the two experts gotten 93% with very valid category. The field test on personal test consisted of 7 students by getting 92 % and big group test consisted of 16 students by having 96 %, so the interest level of media digital pictured story book got very interesting category. Based on the evaluation result, it could be concluded that media digital pictured story book basis on canva application is worthy and very interesting to be used as the teaching media.
