Abstract

This study aims to determine the parents' perceptions of students on the zoning system for new student admissions (PPDB) at SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The population in this study amounted to 223 people and used the purposive technique with an error rate of 10%, so the number of samples in this study became 122 people. Documentation and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the parents' perception of the zoning system for new student admissions (PPDB) at SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih City was positive in terms of equitable access and quality of education services, acceleration of quality education development, sustainable education management, and integration of education development services, this can be proven by research results that show positive criteria regarding the acceptance of new students with a zoning system.
