Abstract
Kappaphycus alvarezii is type of seaweed that cultivated the most at Lampung Bay. Seaweed farmers facing a problem such a plant disease and pest. The purpose of this research was to know the type of bacteria that find at K. alvarezii that infected by ice-ice disease. This research has been done at November until Desember 2017 at BBPBL. The sample that used was a seaweed washed by sterile seawater and then isolating the bacteria characteristic include color, size, shapes, edges and elevation. The identification of charactheristic bacteria colony based on basic test and biochemical test using MicrobactTM. The result found that 8 isolate have difference characteristic, so that the research was continue to characteristic identification phase. The result of identification of charactheristic type, found 4 species of bacteria that is Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Pseudomonas putida, Acinetobacter lwoffii and Burkholderia cepacia.
