Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perbedaan kesesuaian lahan, luas lahan, biaya produksi, regenerasi tanaman dengan produksi usahatani kopi serta pendapatan yang diterima petani, untuk melihat besarnya peranan sektor perkebunan tanaman kopi dan kontribusi usahatani kopi terhadap pembangunan masyarakat daerah Kabupaten OKU Selatan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada musim panen kopi tahun 2005 di Kecamatan Banding Agung dan Kecamatan Muara Dua. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah data tahun 2004 hingga 2005. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan analisis persamaan matematis. Dimana faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi adalah luas lahan (Xj), biaya produksi (X2), tindakan regenerasi (Di), kesesuaian lahan (D2). Di Kecamatan Banding Agung rata-rata tiap petani sampel memiliki luas lahan 2 ha, sedangkan di Muara Dua memiliki rata-rata 1,8 ha. Biaya produksi yang dikeluarkan petani di Kecamatan Banding Agung Rp 1.260.528/lg/thn dan petani di Muara Dua sebesar Rp 942.280/lg/thn dari tindakan regenerasi tanaman di Kecamatan Banding Agung didapat 17 orang (56,6%) melakukan regenerasi dengan tanaman lama dan 13 orang (43,4%) dengan tanaman baru. Di Muara Dua sebanyak 9 orang (30%) dengan tanaman lama dan 21 orang (70%) dengan tanaman baru.
