Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) in 2009 estimated 500.000 patients of Dengue Hemorrhage Fever (DHF) who most of them are children needed hospital care. Case Fatality Rate (CFR) Dengue Hemorrhage Fever (DHF) may be can over reach 20%. Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia (IDAI) has established diagnostic and treatment Standard for DHF as a reference for medical officer particularly pediatrician in hospital practice. Unsubmission with Standard therapy of Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia (IDAI) in medical officer especially pediatrician is a serious problem in hospital practice. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine submission of pediatrician towards dengue hemorrhage fever therapy in Siti Khodijah Islamic Hospital period 1 January - 31 December 2010. This study used cross sectional study with sample was obtained ffom medical records of children 1 until 15 years old in medical record installation of Siti Khodijah Islamic Hospital Palembang on 1 January until 31 December 2010. From 173 samples, 46 patients (63.0%) received properly therapy Standard of Operating Procedures (SOP) Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia (IDAI) and 27 patients (37.0%) received improperly therapy of Standard of Operating Procedures (SOP) Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia (IDAI). Thus, submission of pediatrician towards dengue hemorrhage fever therapy in Siti Khodijah Islamic hospital period 1 January - 31 December 2010 is 63.0%.
