Abstract

Tourism is a journey from one place to another, temporary in nature, carried out individually or in groups, as an effort to find balance or harmony and happiness with the environment in social, cultural, natural and scientific dimensions. Indonesia has many tourist objects, one of which is the Bukit Sulap tourist attraction. located in Lubuklinggau City. The Magic Hill tourist attraction has several obstacles, namely the lack of optimizing the arrangement and management of wasata facilities in Magic Hill. For this reason, it is necessary to make a destination growth plan using a SWOT analysis. This research aims to find out how the strategy for developing the right Magic Hill tourist attraction is. This study used qualitative research methods. The results of this study found that the right strategy is a combined strategy between Strengths and Opportunities (SO) which creates a strategy that uses strengths to take advantage of opportunities, namely 1). Manage the potential of the Bukit Magic tourist attraction by utilizing cooperation between the local government and the private sector as investors. 2). Utilize existing facilities to organize national and international scale events to increase the quality and quantity of Bukit Sulap tourism objects. 3). Collaborating between the Tourism Office and the Education Office to develop magic hill tourism into educational tourism for students.
