Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze and find out the adoption of innovations in the extension information system application "SiSuluh" by the Food Crops and Horticulture Office of South Sumatra Province. The background of this research is of course in the Extension Information System Innovation "SiSuluh" there are users or users who are involved in implementing innovations, the users in the application of the Extension Information System have the same role and authority, namely to facilitate extension activities. However, the implementation of the "SiSuluh" Extension Information System innovation is still not perfect due to a comparison of understanding and several other factors. Therefore it is necessary to adopt applications in the "SiSuluh" Extension Information System innovation so that it can run more optimally and maximally by referring to Rogers M. Everett's theory which consists of 5 stages, namely: Knowledge, Persuasion, Decision, Implementation, Confirmation. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that in this interaction the success of adopting innovation innovation in the "SiSuluh" Extension Information System innovation was achieved after users accepted and adjusted the new innovation through 5 stages of adoption namely, Knowledge, Persuasion, Decision, Implementation, Confirmation made by users.
