Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of family functioning in fostering the emotional attitude of adolescents in Tanjung Pering Village. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used total sampling with a total of 37 parents. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and observation. Measuring family functioning in Tanjung Pering Indralaya Utara Village, Ogan Ilir Regency is carriout by taking account eight family functions including religious functions, protection, compassion, outreach and education, socioculture, economy, reproduction and environmental development. The results of the study showed that parents in assisting adolescents' emotional attitudes in Tanjung Pering Village a group were good. This is evidenced by the average proportion of the overall score of 66.62%. The religious function is 69.18%, protection is 74.21%, love is 65.37%, socialization and education is 66.55%. Then the economic function obtained a proportion of 68.78%, the reproductive function of 65.63%, the environmental management of 66.21%. and finally the socio-cultural function that got the lowest proportion, namely 57.09%, this is because parents think that teenagers are not children who must continue to be guided and taught moral values anymore, not always arranged in everyday clothes, there are no need to be taught the customs of the environment to choose someone to be idolized. 78% of respondents claimed to believe and sell that teenagers are able to carry themselves, distinguish between good and bad values and are free to choose good role models they admire.
