Abstract

This study aims to develop an initial product design for an agility test measuring instrument based on infrared sensor technology by updating an agility test measuring instrument using a stopwatch. This tool can be used for three agility test items, namely Boomerang Run, T test, and Ilionest test. This study uses the Research and Development (Research and Development) method from Borg and Gall with ten research steps. The research subjects were futsal athletes at SMP Negeri 57 Palembang which had been validated, revised, and tested on small and large scales. Expert validation consisted of three sports test and measurement experts using a questionnaire of various kinds of questions. Of the three experts, 98% of agility test measuring instruments based on sensor technology are suitable for use as agility test measuring aids. This is reinforced by the results of expert validation tests and sports measurements, there is an average of 98% suitable for use. And also reinforced by the statistical results of the normality test, Maan Whitney test, homogeneity test, and the paired sample t test, where the data was taken during small and large scale trials.
