Abstract

The Creative Industry is an industrial sector that has a lot of enthusiasts, especially the younger generation and continues to grow rapidly every year. Multimedia is a combination of several elements, namely text, images, audio, animation, and other media. Multimedia is one of the creative industries that is needed in the industrial era where technology is increasing, and many of Indonesian young people are interested in the world of multimedia. Multimedia Vocational High School in Palembang City is designed as a learning platform for young Indonesians who have an interest and potential for creativity in multimedia fields. Multimedia based on its users has 2 categories, namely Multimedia Communication and Multimedia Content Production so that based on these categories, Multimedia Vocational Schools in Palembang City have 6 competency skills there are Animation, Visual Communication Design, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Production and Broadcast of Television Programs, and Production and Broadcast of Radio Programs. Multimedia Vocational High School in Palembang City were designed based on the needs and spatial standards contained in the Ministry of Education and Culture regulations regarding facility and infrastructure standards in Vocational High School. This Vocational High School applies the concept of creativity in the form of having many communal spaces as a place for discussion and creative thinking and the use of school building colors.
