Abstract

The zoning system policy for the acceptance of new students is a policy in the world of education for equitable access and quality of education. The zoning system will bring education services closer and easier to the community. The zoning system provisions are contained in the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 44 of 2019 concerning Acceptance of New Students in Kindergartens, Elementary Schools, Junior High Schools, High Schools and Vocational High Schools. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach, namely obtaining data from the results of interviews, observations and documentation in the field. The results of this study indicate that the impact of the zoning system on PPDB in SMP Negeri 14 Palembang has a positive impact, both on students, teachers, schools and the community. This can be seen from the results of research related to the theory of Wibawa, Yuyun and Agus. The suggestion in this study is that schools can complement the facilities and infrastructure to support the teaching and learning process.
