Abstract

This research is entitled Rejang Tribe Philosophy as a Guide to Community Life in Taba Tembilang Village, Argamakmur District, North Bengkulu Regency, with the formulation of the problem how the Rejang Tribe philosophy is used as a way of life before and after the entry of Islamic influence for the community in Taba Tembilang village, North Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu province. The purpose of this study is to find out how the philosophy of the Rejang tribe is used as a way of life before and after the entry of Islamic influence for the community in Taba Tembilang village, North Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu province. This research was conducted from 06 April to 20 May 2022 in the city of Bengkulu and its surroundings using a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques using Observation, Recording, Recording, Interviewing Techniques. In this study, the philosophy of society before Islam used the basis of life known as "Pat Sepakat Mo Seperno", then entered the influence of Islam so that people believed in the philosophy and way of life "Adat Bersendi Syarak, Syarak Bersendi Kitabullah" Keywords : Philosophy, Guidelines for Life, Customary Law, Society, Tribe, Rejang
