Abstract
The gas lift method is a method of removal of the fluid in which a relatively high gas pressure (250 psi minimum) is used as a medium lifting through a mechanical process with the help of a compressor. Planning and execution of appropriate gas lift designs will provide optimal production at production wells. PT Medco E & P Indonesia is one of the companies that apply the gas lift method at the well in SK field at PT Medco E & P Indonesia. At this time, the Z well has an average production of 125 BFPD which continues to decline every time. In the valve re-planning, it is important to know the maximum potential and optimal production capability of the well by using the Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) curve analysis of the vogel method and the outflow performance relationship (OPR) curve. The result of maximal production ability of z well is 447 BFPD and the optimal production capability is 360 BFPD with 1000 scf / bbl of GLR. From the graphical planning on the well Z has 6 valves, and the production rate of the z well is 360 BFPD and the amount of gas injection is 0.144 MMSCFD.
