Abstract
The impact of malnutrition in infants are impaire of brain development, physical growth, motor development, mental development and increased infant morbidity and mortality. Indonesia would have a loss generation because of these problems (MOH, 2002). Hypnoparenting was a hypnosis method can change the negative behaviors of children who refuse to eat in order to improve nutritional intake and nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hypnoparenting to nutritional status of children in Indralaya with BB / U, TB / U and BB / TB. parameters The population in this study were children (1- 5 years old) in the area of Indralaya public health centers. WE gain a sample by purposive sampling there were 21 respondents (10 intervention, 11 control). The age average 45.57 ± 18.92, weight 15.81 ± 4.00 , height 99.00 ± 7.69 and there 8 men (38.09%) and females 13 (61.90 %). The design of this study is quasy experiments with non-randomized pre test post test design Non-parametric statistical analysis showed there was no difference in the average nutritional status before and after hypnoparenting and there is no difference in the average nutritional status between the intervention and control groups. There is need for further investigation on effectiveness of frequenty hypnoparenting and further research must presence of investigators at the time hypnoparenting.
