Abstract

Limbah konstruksi dihasilkan dalam setiap proyek konstruksi baik yang merupakan proyek pembangunan maupun proyek pembongkaran atau perobohan. Limbah konstruksi bukan hanya berasal dari proyek pembangunan gedung saja, pembangunan rumah pun dapat menimbulan limbah. Jumlah limbah yang dihasilkan pada konstruksi pembangunan rumah tergantung dari besarnya rumah, tipe konstruksi (metode pelaksanaan konstruksi) dan teknik membangun itu sendiri. Upaya pengelolaan limbah yang umum dilakukan adalah menggunakan kembali limbah material itu untuk pekerjaan selanjutnya. Komposisi limbah yang dihasilkan dari proses konstruksi itu sendiri pun berbeda. Oleh sebab itulah diperlukan identifikasi komposisi material yang berpotensi menjadi limbah. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan menghitung jumlah limbah material konstruksi tersebut per tahap konstruksi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkecil jumlah limbah yang dihasilkan dalam setiap proses konstruksi.
