Abstract

Dengan kondisi ekonomi saat ini, para kontraktor dituntut bisa lebih menekan biaya dengan mempertahankan kualitas proyek. Salah satu metode analisa untuk mengevaluasi perencanaan proyek konstruksi dengan tujuan menghemat anggaran biaya, optimasi kinerja dan efisiensi waktu serta tetap memperhitungkan kualitas hasil pekerjaan adalah menggunakan Rekayasa Nilai (value engineering). Alasan utama metode ini adalah pendekatan evaluasi yang sistematis dan terarah pada obyek yang ditinjau. Tahap-tahap dalam rencana kerja rekayasa nilai yaitu tahap informasi, tahap alternatif, tahap evaluasi, tahap analisa dan tahap presentasi. Penelitian tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan Rekayasa Nilai pada pembangunan Gedung SMPN 8 Sungai Keruh Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin. Dari hasil penerapan Rekayasa Nilai pada pembangunan Gedung SMPN 8 Sungai Keruh Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin didapatkan penghematan biaya, yaitu pada tiga item pekerjaan. Penghematan yang didapatkan adalah sebagai berikut : pekerjaan dinding Rp 18.539.376,36 (sebesar 31,09 % dari desain awal), pekerjaan lantai keramik Rp 9.026.540,00 (sebesar 27.69 % dari desain awal), dan pekerjaan plafond Rp 3.278.614,60 (sebesar 5.31 % dari desain awal). Dengan penghematan total Rp 30.844.530,96. Kata Kunci: Rekayasa Nilai, Value Engineering.
