Abstract

PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN EKSTRAK BIJI PEPAYA (Carica papaya Linn.) SEBAGAI LARVASIDA NABATI TERHADAP Aedes albopictus DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA Rahma Astasari1, Lucia Maria Santoso2, Riyanto2 1Alumni Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya 2Dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya ABSTRACT     Research to determine potensial of papaya (Carica papaya) seed extract as vegetable larvacides against Aedes albopictus been done. Methods experiment with completely randomized design (RAL) consist of 5 treatments and 5 replications performed with test animal third instar larvae. Papaya seed extract with concentration P0 (0%); P1 (0,032%); P2 (0,056%); P3 (0,1%); P4 (0,24%). Then calculated percentage of mortality Ae.albopictus at 24 and 48 hours after treatment.The data obtained to analyzed with ANAVA, continue with Beda Nyata Jarak Duncan (BNJD) test and calculated of Letal Concentration 50 (LC50). The result ANAVA show that papaya seed extract significant effect of mortality Ae.albopictus larvae. 0,032% is effective toxic papaya seed extract concentration of mortality Ae.albopictus larvae. BNJD test show that to kill 100% Ae.albopictus larvae are 0,24% at 24 hours and 0,1% at 48 hours.Value LC50 for 24 and 48 hours respectively are 0,042% and 0,0155%. Information on results of this research can be used as additional learning materials biology class 2 semester 2 of Plant, Morphology characteristics, Metagenesis, Its role in the survival of earth, Competition basic 3.7 Applying the principle of classification to classify plants into divisio based on morphological observations and metagenesis plants and associate role in survival of life on earth.
