Abstract

The objective of this yield test was to obtain high yield corn lines which were nutrient efficient in suboptimal soil. The yield test was conducted from December 2008 until March 2009 at Agro Techno Park, South Sumatra. The experiment was done Randomized Complete Block Design with four replications. Total of 107 corn lines derived from half-sib recurrent selection (grouped to four female parent varieties Suhnaraga, Lamuru, Bisma, and Srikandi Putih), and six composite populations were tested in this: research. This research indicated that 24 lines were high yield and suboptimum soil tolerant, 57 lines were high yield and not tolerant to suboptimum soil.
