Abstract

A classification system is an initial stage in recycling cans technology. This study aims to build a cans waste classification system based on statistical approach using Red, Green, and Blue image. The image data size is reduced using principal component analysis, while the classification method used is K-Nearest Neighbors and multinomial regression. The results showed that the K-Nearest Neighbors method has the success rates of cans waste classification higher than Multinomial Regression.
