Abstract

The purpose of this research is to: 1) Measure the perception of farmers on the performance of agricultural extension in Ratu Baru Village, Bunga Mayang District, East OKU Regency. 2) Measuring the success rate of farmers in the expansion program of hybrid corn planting area in Ratu Baru Village, Bunga Mayang District, East OKU Regency. 3) To analyze the correlation between farmer perception to success level in Ratu Baru Village, Bunga Mayang District, East OKU Regency. This research was conducted at Desa Ratu Baru District of Bunga Mayang Regency of East OKU. Data collection in this research area has been done in August 2017. The research method is survey method. The method of this survey was conducted by examining 32 sample farmers doing corn farming. Sampling method that will be used in this research is simple random sampling (Simple Random Sampling). Data collected through interviews directly using questionnaires, and using primary and secondary data collection methods. Farmers' perceptions on PPL Performance are processed using scoring, then linked to the level of hybrid program hybrid corn yields are processed using spss 20. The results of this study indicate that the perception of farmers on PPL Performance in Ratu Baru Village, Bunga Mayang District, East OKU Regency measured through 3 indicators, namely program preparation, program implementation, and program evaluation are high with average work performance score 7.01. In the second objective, the success rate of farmers in the expansion program of hybrid corn plantation area in Ratu Baru Village, Bunga Mayang District, East OKU Regency measured through 3 indicators, namely land optimization, production increase, farmer empowerment is high with average score 8,01. There is a negative relationship between Farmers Perceptions on Farmers' Agricultural Extension Performance in "Expansion of Hybrid Maize Planting Areas" in Ratu Baru State Village OKUT District.
