Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by dengue virus through mosquito vectors. In Lampung Province, the number of dengue fever cases tends to increase and the wider the spread and has the potential to cause outbreaks. Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a type of disease that is still a problem in South Lampung Regency because the number of dengue fever cases fluctuates every year. The purpose of this study is to analyze the risk factors for dengue fever by using a spatial approach in South Lampung Regency. This research method is descriptive using ecological study design. This sample is the entire community of South Lampung Regency who was affected by dengue hemorrhagic fever in the range of 2015-2018. The data used are secondary data obtained from various related institutions such as the South Lampung Regency Health Office, the Central Lampung Statistics Agency and BMKG Class I of Radin Inten II Airport, Bandar Lampung. This research uses a spatial approach. Spatial analysis is used to display districts with a certain level of vulnerability. Spatial analysis results show that there are 4 districts in South Lampung Regency that have high vulnerability to DHF, namely Sidomulyo, Katibung, Jati Agung and Natar Districts, and 4 subdistricts with moderate vulnerability, namely Ketapang, Kalianda, Way Sulan, and Tanjung Bintang and 9 sub-districts with low vulnerability, namely Penegahan, Bakauheni, Palas, Sragi, Rajabasa, Way Panji, Candipuro, Merbau Mataram, and Tanjung Sari Districts. The conclusion of this study is that population density and ABJ have a spatial influence on the increase in dengue fever cases in South Lampung Regency. So that spatial analysis shows that there are 4 districts in South Lampung Regency that have high vulnerability of DHF, 4 districts with moderate vulnerability and 9 districts with low vulnerability.
